The Nicolas Fortin Scholarship

Nico-Scholarship.jpg

The Nicolas Fortin Scholarship was established in the Fall of 2016 in memory of co-founding co-Artistic Director and baroque violinist Nicolas Fortin. Each year Bourbon Baroque contributes funds toward a rising Baroque specialist covering tuition or other variable costs for a one-week Summer workshop study in the Baroque Performance Practice field.

Nicolas was a consummate educator at heart; therefore, it is only fitting to honor him in a way that promotes the urgency and passion that the music of the Baroque instilled in him and he in us. There is no age requirement or limitation for this scholarship.  Each season past scholarship recipients are featured, based on availability and program needs, in a concert with Bourbon Baroque in memory of Nico.

The Nicolas Fortin Scholarship is on pause for 2023. Please circle back!
