Lauded as a "fine baroque stylist," soprano Teresa Wakim enjoys an internationally successful career as soloist in opera and oratorio. She has been praised by such publications as the Wall Street Journal, Early Music America, and the Miami Herald. After receiving her B.M. in Vocal Performance and Musicology at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 2003, she pursued her passion for baroque music, earning a M.M in Historical Performance at Boston University's College of Fine Arts in 2005.

Ms. Wakim has sung in many of the world's most renowned halls for equally illustrious leaders including Sir Roger Norrington at the Royal Albert Hall and Ton Koopmon in Carnegie’s Zankel Hall. She performs frequently with Boston Baroque, the Handel & Haydn Society, Seraphic Fire, and Apollo’s Fire. She is featured on two recent recordings of Lully’s operas with the Boston Early Music Festival, including the Grammy-nominated Thésée. Recent operatic performances include the roles of Aurora in L'Oraculo del Fato at the CT Early Music Festival, Ariadne in Die schöne und getreue Ariadne at the Amherst Early Music Festival, Flore in the acclaimed production of Psyché at the Boston Early Music Festival 2007, Belinda in Dido and Aeneus with Seraphic Fire, and La Musique in Les Arts Florissants with Ensemble Florilege.
